RSS News Feed Feature Explained

Our new website includes the RSS news feed feature.  RSS, as you may have already known, is a way for a website to show its subscribers the newest updates of the website.  Many commercial websites, such as CNN.com, have this service.

The newer version of most of the web browsers, e.g., Firefox, have the feature of subscribing to RSS feeds.  Once subscribed, in the case of Firefox, you can see headlines of the newest update of the site right from your bookmark.  So you can find what is new without hunting for new pages at the website.

 Our RSS URL is http://hpcf.hpcbc.org/rss.xml

Some web portal sites, like Google and My Yahoo!, allow you to add RSS feeds to your personalized page.  The icon  will add our RSS feed to your personalized Google front page or add it to Google's RSS reader.  The following is a screen capture after adding our church's RSS to the Google front page.
