The temperature has cooled down. It’s a great time to spend a day or two outdoor.

We are going to Colorado Bend State Park to hike. Some of us will stay there on Saturday night to camp too.

Here is the plan:

leave Austin at 9am, Saturday
arrive at the state park around noon (should take about 2.5 hours to get there)
hike at one of the trails (probably the one by the river)
find a good spot to stop for picnic
return to trail head at 4pm
those interested in hiking-only will leave
those interested in camping will head to the camp site (about 1 mile walk)
set up the tent, relax, and enjoy the beautiful sky at night!!

Things to bring:

Hikers:

water
lunch (sandwich, or anything you want to enjoy at outdoor)

Campers:

All of above, plus:
1 gallon of water,
sleeping bag,
food for dinner (we will have a stove for simple cooking)

we will bring the tent.
